Cheap Bathroom Suites
Planning a bathroom when your budget is restricted need not hold you back from achieving your perfect bathroom. Before you start, make sure that you have given proper consideration to your budget (making sure to deduct any labour costs from your final figure). As has been mentioned elsewhere, when thinking about your redesign, it will be much more cost effective for you to have any new bathroom suites or fixtures installed in the same place as your current fittings. When it comes to looking at the layout of your pipes and how they will impact on the positioning of your new fixtures, remember that a bath or a shower can be changed at little extra cost, but that moving the toilet (and therefore the soil stack) will be a much more expensive exercise.
A new look bathroom need not mean going even as far as changing your existing pottery. You could investigate new fixtures for your current suite, in order to update it at minimal expense. For instance, you might look to change the seat that you have on your toilet, as many toilets are compatible with a number of different seats. The same effect could be achieved by changing the brassware on your sink and bath, although this is slightly more expensive.
You may be limited by your budget from having a seperate shower cubicle or enclosure, but this need not prevent you from still having a shower. Try fitting a bath/shower mixer for your bath, which will fit where your current taps are currently placed. If you opt to follow this route, you will be able to enjoy both the convenience of a shower with the relaxation of a bath, without breaking your budget. Don't forget to put in place a protective screen or shower curtain so that you don't splash all over the floor!
Updating your bathroom need'nt be too costly. It may be that simple adding a few dashes of colour here or there, or adding new accessories will provide you with the new look you are aiming for. You might try changing the doors and countertops within the bathroom again to add a new dimension, again without being to much of a burden on your wallet.
