There’s been tears, tantrums and laughter, but most importantly, happy memories for model turned property developer, Charlotte Thomson.
A few weeks ago we interviewed Charlotte Thomson about the Loo with a View renovation project in Charlestown, Cornwall. For those who haven’t read it, make sure to check out our exclusive interview and take a look at the before photos! Anyway, we thought we’d give you all an update to let you know the incredible progress that’s been made!
It’s been 8 long months since Charlotte began the Loo with a View project, and in that time there’s been tears, tantrums and laughter. Now called Harbour Lights, Loo with a View has undergone a dramatic transformation – take a look at the photos below to see the finished result!
Just take a look at the bathrooms! We love the coastal inspired design, and the use of reclaimed wood really brings it all together perfectly. The waterfall tap and the square lines of the basin and toilet add a designer touch, while the pebble tiles from Walls and Floors evoke memories of days spent by the sea.
In the en-suite, the Milano anthracite heated towel rail, recessed basin and worktop, as well as the flooring by First for Floors, creates a luxury look. The stylish mirror and accessories add those all-important finishing touches. We also love the way the towels have been rolled up and neatly stored down the side of the vanity unit – a great use of space.
With a jaw-dropping view over the sea, the wow factor bedroom features a statement velvet mink bed and a silver freestanding bath positioned in front of the window – it sure looks like the perfect place to relax and unwind. The gorgeous wallpaper and silver glitter carpet by First for Floors really enhances the overall scheme and creates a luxury look.
The chic coastal inspired living room features a statement reclaimed wood wall, as well as a log burning stove and underfloor heating to transform the room into a warm and cosy space during the cold winter months. The natural colour palette creates a sense of warmth and luxury, and the accessories really enhance the overall coastal look. Even though the lounge, diner and kitchen is open plan, Charlotte has successfully managed to create three defined areas through the use of furniture and lighting. The sofa is by Achica and the arm chair is from Very.co.uk.
Carefully landscaped to make the most of the view, the outside space is equally as stunning as the interior. There’s a spacious decked area where you can take in the breathtaking scenery, and Charlotte has kept the original hut that used to house a search light that guided the tall ships into the harbour. There’s even an outside shower and a hot tub – supplied by Cornish Hot Tubs – where you can truly relax and de-stress.
It’s been amazing to follow the #Loowithaview progress, a massive well done to all those who’ve been involved!
