What is Matte Black?

Modern, minimal and striking are a few words than come to mind when describing the beautiful matte black brassware here at Big Bathroom Shop. One of our most popular hues, loved by customers across the UK, matte black is for the modern interior lovers.

Matte black brassware finish is a satin black pigment applied (generally) to the surface of brass with a powder coating. Matte black brassware has no gloss and does not reflect light, making it a really striking, solid statement piece.

Please note: our brassware is hand finished, so the colour and tone can vary slightly between products of the same finish, creating a look that’s unique and authentic.
