The infrared panel works by emitting far infrared, which is the same radiation as emitted by the sun. It has a long wavelength, low frequency and no visible light - making the heat safe and gentle, and also easily absorbed by objects in the room. When the far infrared hits an object, such as the furniture, it is absorbed, causing molecules within it to vibrate and produce heat. The vibration then re-radiates warmth back into your room and as no heat is lost to draughts, open windows or doors, you’ll feel warmer for longer.
