Sophie has made huge moves on Instagram over the past year for her impeccable interior style. With over 100,000 followers, it’s safe to say that Sophie is an interior force to be reckoned with.
Sophie’s home has been decorated in soft grey hues with splashes of blush pink. When we spoke to her about what inspires her interior flare, she told us
“I get most of my interior inspiration from other home accounts on Instagram. I can spend ages scrolling through looking at other people’s beautiful homes, getting ideas.”
” I’m a huge fan of grey interiors, mainly because I find it so calming. I also love the fact most colour will go with grey. So just by changing the colour of your accessories, can completely change the room without actually spending a fortune and time of redecorating.”
We have been lucky enough to work with Sophie on her latest bathroom revamp project, and oh what a magnificent transformation it was. Before the transformation, Sophie had a dated main bathroom. White tiles, with a muddy yellow bath panel and a basic toilet. It wasn’t the worst bathroom ever, but it definitely didn’t fit in with the rest of Sophie’s home décor.
BEFORE
With a lot of thought and planning, Sophie recreated the whole room. She ripped out the old anthracite vinyl tile flooring and replaced it with a beautiful grey vintage patterned tile. Her walls went from drab to fab with a scratched affect urban grey tile.
AFTER
Sophie swapped her shower bath for our luxury freestanding bath by Milano. The Milano Elswick square double-ended bath has given Sophie a slice of heaven to unwind in after a long day. Her basic toilet was ditched for a modern square back to wall toilet.
Sophie created a stylish wall hung sink area, with a wall hung vanity unit & countertop basin. She completed the look with our modern deck mounted high rise mono basin mixer tap.
This combo is ideal for smaller bathrooms. The more floor you leave empty, the bigger your bathroom will look.
Sophie’s Renovation Advice
Bathroom revamps can be a big task, especially, if you’re going for a whole new look. We asked Sophie some top tips to think about before undergoing a bathroom makeover,
“I would say, just make sure your 100% happy with your choices. A bathroom revamp is going to set you back quite a bit of money. So realistically you won’t want to change it again for a good while. Use Instagram, Pinterest to get lots of ideas.”
“Another tip, if you’re like me and don’t have an en-suite or another bathroom. Make sure you plan where you can shower or have a bath.
Depending on the amount of work your having done as bathrooms can sometimes take weeks to finish. In my case it took over 3 weeks. Luckily, we had family that lived nearby.”
