Say hello to the biggest bathroom trend this year – The black bathroom. Black has taken over the interiors of Instagram and we’re so on board.
Our black mood board was inspired by minimal interiors and plenty of textures. The anthracite stone tiled background creates a beautifully dark base to build on. Robust and water resistant, dark stone can also add plenty of character to your bathroom.
Include geometric patterns with the dark tones, this will break up the darkness. Plus, they’re a smart choice for creating a bold bathroom.
Don’t forget to mix and match textures, you can do this by introducing some matt black fittings; taps, towel rings and shower heads. Put black fittings against lighter coloured tiles and create a striking contrast.
If an all-black bathroom doesn’t work for you, you can use a mixture of black and white to make an impact. Follow this colour scheme and opt for a half and half bathroom. This will ensure you have an even split between light and dark. A monochrome bathroom is great for playing with different textures.
Finish off with accessories. Why not go for matt black soap dispensers, tooth brush holders and towel rings? The beautiful matt finish will add a luxury, modern feel to your bathroom. Don’t forget to sprinkle some greenery around your bathroom. Ivy looks particularly good in darker bathrooms.
